The Donington Cowley Endowed Primary

School Council

Our School Council has been democratically voted in by the children. They work together with our School Council Leader, Miss Allen, to represent the voice of the children and help shape our school development, ensuring our school values are upheld in everything we do.

Our School Councillors for 2026-2027:

Year 1: Pippa and Grayson

Year 2: Poppy and Lennox

Year 3: Luna and Alice

Year 4: Eliza and Ellis

Year 5: Mira and Ollie

Year 6: Martha and Franklyn

Our Chosen Charities:

This year, we are proud to be supporting three different charities. Our School Councillors carefully researched a range of charities and presented their findings to their classmates. Each classroom then took part in a vote to decide which charities they would like to support. We are delighted to be coming together as a school community to raise money for these three very worthwhile causes.

As a school, we have decided to raise money for:

RSPCA - A charity that works to protect animals from cruelty, neglect and suffering. It rescues animals, investigates reports of cruelty, and promotes better standards of animal welfare.

Diabetes UK - A charity that works to support people living with diabetes and improve their quality of life. It also funds research, raises awareness, and campaigns for better diabetes care and prevention.

The Lighthouse Project - The Lighthouse Project Spalding is a local charity that provides safe housing, support and opportunities for vulnerable young people, including those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, young mothers and young people struggling with mental health. It helps them build confidence, develop life skills and move towards independent, stable lives through supported accommodation, work experience and community activities.
