At Donington it is our aim that children will build the confidence and skills within mathematics to build a foundation for future learning. We also want the children to develop their love of maths by using this understanding of maths knowledge and skills to thread them through other areas of the curriculum in order to provide relevant opportunities to use and apply.  We want children to learn using a range of resources, which support a concrete, pictorial and abstract approach guiding them through their understanding of mathematical processes.  We want all children to develop into aspiring mathematicians.
