At Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School, we are committed to supporting and promoting the mental and physical health and well-being of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone experiences life changes that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.

05/10/2021   Readathon


Starting next week, we are launching a sponsored ‘Readathon’. This involves children being sponsored for reading during the two weeks 11th – 21st October. The money raised will go towards providing books for children in hospital and books for our school.

Your child will be given a sponsor card with all the details on it – including how to send the money raised. If you require any further information, you can find it here: https://readforgood.org/

This is a great opportunity to think about others and give to a good cause.

Our school uniform is now supplied through Nationwide School Uniforms.  Their website can be accessed via the link below:


Also, we would like to make you aware that we will be slowly phasing in a new sweatshirt for PE this will be navy and eventually the whole school will move over to this. The new Reception 2021 children will be wearing the new navy P.E Kit from September 2021.  There is no obligation for other year groups to purchase the new kit as we are aware that many of you have already purchased the various colours from us.

You can also buy other items of clothing from them coats, socks, trousers/skirts, etc.

Thomas Cowley currently use the same supplier so as a feeder school we felt it was a good idea to move forward with them.

Communicating with parents is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about school news, activities and things that really matter is something we care about. 

From Monday 30th November we will be using ParentMail, a service used by over 6,000 schools, nurseries and children’s clubs to communicate to parents.
