Our P.E. Vision
Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School believes that physical education is an essential part of a child's development and one which promotes a long term healthy lifestyle that is enjoyable and fulfilling. Our children are inspired to engage in physical activity, raise their attainment, extend their potential and develop a lifelong active lifestyle.
We offer a range of activities. Our P.E. and sport aspires to build self-esteem, teamwork and leadership skills enabling each child to be the best they can be.

We are proud that we have been awarded the Bronze School Games Mark. The Sainsbury's School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Silver School Games Mark 2015-2016
We are extremely proud that, in addition to the Bronze School Games Mark that we already hold, we have now been awarded the Silver School Games Mark. Sporting Events 2019 - 2020
Multi-skills Tournament - On Thursday 28th November Sycamore and Larch took part in a multi-skills tournament in the school hall. Please click here to see how they got on.
Well done to our Year 5 and 6 netball team who came 6th place in the Boston and District Netball Tournament at Boston High School on 8th October 2019. We are so proud of you all!

Sporting Events 2018 - 2019
Maple had a fantastic time at The Thomas Cowley High School for their football tournament lead by the Year 9 students. The children learned lots of new skills before putting them to the test in some matches. Overall the orange team won the most matches and won the tournament. The non-bib team won an extra award for amazing team spirit in all of their matches. Well done everyone!
Below - Year 5 children from Hawthorn Class had a great morning at Thomas Cowley High School. The Year 9 BTEC PE students led the warm-ups, skills and basketball games. All children worked extremely well and the event was won by the yellow team.

Below - Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics
Congratulations to our Y5 / Y6 team who came 1st in the Sportshall Athletics competition organised by Boston and School Sports Partnership. The team has now qualified for the Cup Final on 18th January 2019. Well done!

Year 5/Year 6 Sportshall Athletics
The Year 5/Year 6 Sportshall Athletics Team had previously qualified for the grand final which was held on Friday 18th January. This was an exciting and keenly fought competition and the children were determined to come home with a medal! When the final positions were announced we were pleased and proud to be bronze medallists! Mrs Tubb and Mrs Taylor were hoarse from cheering. Well done everyone!
